Youth Advisory Committee
Ottawa Police are reaching out to you.
In an ongoing effort to build connections with Ottawa teens and young adults, police have introduced the Youth Advisory Committee.
A twenty member group, ranging in age from 13 to 24, is hoping to build trusting relationships between young people and police, so youth will feel more comfortable talking about issues they face.
More news after the jump.
And staying with the Police,
Public complaints regarding Police Services and conduct are down.
The number of complaints is down almost 20 percent from last year at this time, and down 17 % from the five year average.
